Sweet Sautéed Apples vegetarian

A simple dessert sweetened with ama-koji

Ingredients (2 Servings)

1 large apple
1½ tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons ama-koji
cinnamon

  1. Cut the apple into 5mm rounds. Remove the seeds with a toothpick.
  2. Melt the butter in a skillet and add the apples. Cook on each side until lightly browned.
  3. Add the ama-koji and cook on a low heat to coat the apples.
  4. Remove from pan, arrange on a plate and sprinkle with cinnamon.
